First post other than the new member thread. My question is this. What is the best rail and rings to use for mount a Leupold VX2 scope on my Browning Bar 30.06. I desperately need some help, advice, insight, anything and everything appreciated!
Besides the obvious Leupold brand...Weaver and Millett both make excellent rings and rails to mount your scope... Optics Planet is who I use because of their great prices... http://www.opticsplanet.com/riflescope-mounts-rings-and-bases.html
Just not sure if there is a certain set up. I know of a few guys that have had issues with the mount and sighting in the gun. I want to be on point with the rail and rings once. I am going to check optics planet.
The BAR is already drilled and tapped...correct !? Just pick a long enough rail to match the holes...and rings that match the diameter of the scope. Sight in @ 25 yards to get on paper then take it out to 200 yards. EASY !!
