Nice, how much did that one weigh and what gun is that? loved to know some of your techniques for turkey hunting, i am going in two weeks when the season opens....
Here in Oklahoma we don't have to check them in as long as they're west of I-35 so I’m not sure what they weighed. But the beard on that bird was 9 inches. The gun in the pic is a browning Maxus. Also that bird came right into my DSD hen decoy and calling but it was in an area that didn't have many hunters.The birds in the following pic I had to sneak up on they were in an area that was full of hunters and wouldn't respond to calls and shut up when they hit the ground. These two birds were killed on Saturday the other on Sunday.
One more week till opening season in NY. Hope to have a successful season. How does the Maxus perform in the field? I just picked up A browning Maxus Sporting the other weekend and is awesome in trap and skeet. I posted up some pics of it in the maxus section.
