Hello! I'm Mike. I'm from central Kentucky. I recently acquired my first Browning. It's a 1952 Auto 5, sixteen gauge standard weight. It's a poly choke gun, which I know isn't the most desirable, but the price was right and I bought it to shoot, so I'm ok with it. I'm really liking this gun, but it is quite old so I joined up for technical advice.
Poly Chokes hurt collector value, but so what? I like my Poly Choked guns. I almost never change a screw-in choke, but I'll twist the heck out of the Poly. It might not pattern as well, but it sure is convenient.
