I have a new 725 and cannot get the take down lever to fully recess in the forearm upon assembly. The take down switch will not fully recess in the forearm when I attempt to snap,it in place. I have no idea why it will not recess. Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome. Thank you.

Sorry for the late reply. Sounds like it is just stiff. These 725's are like that when new. You should be able to press the lever into flush. The more you shoot it and clean it, the better it will operate. Eventually, the tang should spring into place properly when the stock is snapped into the barrel.
