A few weeks ago I bought a 1928 gun for the barrel. When I picked it up it at my FFL it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I cleaned it last night and put s Jap stock on it. Looks like complete garbage with an old forearm and glossy stock. Will post pictures later.

I had one more floating holiday day to burn so I took today off and hunted. My usual spots dried up so I went to some old spots. The dogs and I put on 7.5 miles before we came across a covey of partridge. I shot twice and ended up with my limit of three birds. The 26” IC barrel was perfect.

As an amateur ornithologist, I am curious to know what kind of partridge they are?
