I have been fortunate enough to be in possession of a high power made somewhere in the late part of ww2. It does have small German markings on it the firearm shoots flawlessly and I have been told at some point this gun may have been in the hands of a German officer. Still have the original mag. Aside from the battle ready not so pretty coating all in flat black and hougue rubber grips, she's gorgeous. Never really used a whole lot. My problem is sometimes when I release the safety as I carry condition 1 the hammer falls half cocked. Any ideas guys. Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk

Most guys would say "Take it it a competent gunsmith". Good luck finding one. I would buy this video and fix it myself: http://www.americangunsmith.com/app/products/view/12/Browning-HI-Power-Pistols Also, I'd probably buy another Hi-Power for carry. I wouldn't bet my life on a gun that's starting to break parts like your WWII gun is. Enjoy it at the range.
