If you're a new member or have a newly acquired Auto 5 and are here searching for the date of manufacture, please see the auto 5 section and look at the serialization charts to figure out the year your Auto 5 was made. These charts that are listed are the best reference out there. The Browning web site to date your firearm is not only confusing, but not correct. The charts listed are correct and the 16 ga serial numbers will also be added in the coming days.
If for some reason you have an Auto 5 that you can't find on the chart, then don't hesitate to ask. You can either PM me or ask in the Auto 5 section and one of the members will be glad to help. Remember if you have specific questions or problems pictures are worth a thousand words. Please use the parts diagram of the Auto 5 to find part # and/or names when making a reference so all involved are on the same sheet. Thanks.
