havent tried any of the vynl Camo kit but i did try the hydro dipping and it came out pretty awesome. What are you planing on wrapping?
Was thinking about redoing a few gun stocks. I have also been looking at these DIY camo dip kits ( http://www.camodipkit.com )
I have used a stick-on type I bought from Cabelas or Bass Pro. It worked great and looked nice. However, I found it trapped moisture. I put it on before spring turkey and left it on for a year through the next turkey season. I started seeing some rust/moisture spots coming from the edges so I took it off and found rust all over. Never again for me as I'd like to take good care of my guns.
