      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Returning home from burying my foster brother today, I stopped off at a friendly cotton patch and put 10 rounds through my 9mm Airweight J-frame and 8 through my Browning 1911-380.<br />

Thirty feet, standing, two handed, really crappy shooting, target was a paper plate. First two shots with the J-frame missed low (looking for point of aim), had one flyer - dunno where it went, pulled two to the right and high.<br />
With the 1911-380, point of aim was 3&quot; above the +.<br />

Which makers do such a holster?<br />

Looking for strong side kydex for starters.  Thinking about an Andrews Leather MacDaniel strong side if we can&#039;t find anything else (long wait time on Andrews).<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I decided to try the one Sneaky Pete advertises for the Browning 1911-380.<br />
It is well made, but has a couple of minor problems. The magazine has to be removed in order for the pistol to fit within the holster. And the shape of the plastic inner liner lets the gun flop around and also doesn&#039;t allow magazines to be carried within the holster. So - if you want to carry a floppy unloaded gun and no ammo, it is great. Otherwise, not so much.<br />

I&#039;m not a fan of the manufacturer, but I bit the bullet and ordered a 10-round.<br />
<br />
Pro:<br />
1) doesn&#039;t use an exposed spring to lock the slide back after last round.<br />
2) does lock back after last round.<br />
<br />
Con:<br />
1) mag follower jammed before I ever inserted a round in it or inserted it in the pistol. Had to disassemble the mag to correct the stuck follower<br />
2) empty mag very &#039;sticky&#039; - not smooth.<br />
3) have to depress the mag button to insert mag.<br />
4) very difficult to shove each round...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[My 1911-380 is 13 months old and has had less than 300 rounds through it.  it shoots OK but is not the nicest, smoothest shooting .380 I have.  Normal trigger pull is 4.5# empty and a bit heavier when loaded.  Take up is only about 1/8&quot;  and it does feel a bit gritty, in that you can feel the &quot;pause&quot; before the click when you shoot it.    I have field strip/ cleaned it regularly as I do all of my guns.  I do not detail strip any of my guns - that is for the gunsmith who knows what he is doing -...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Just bought a parts kit for a browning 1911 22 cal  it has all parts except the frame.I am planing to convert my Black label  .380 to a kit gun by installing the barrel,slide and slide lock from the 22 cal parts kit.I will have to purchase 22 cal.mags.May also do away with  the magazine safety as the kit has a mag relies<br />
will get parts kit in about 1 week. Any suggestions or questions appreciated<br />
