The 85% size grip on the Browning 1911's is just enough too narrow for me with the gloves on that I needed to find a way to make it larger. I love the grips and didn't want to try to find fatter ones. Also, after what I paid for the gun - with its factory grey cerakote and fiber optic sights - I didn't want to spend more money on it.
The Black Label apeared to have a slightly longer trigger reach. So I decided to order one, and arrived yesterday. My suspicions were correct. The BL adds a little over 3/16" (7/32 to be more exact) trigger reach over the A 1. Not alot, but I like it much better.

I just received it back from them, telling me it was “dry,” (though I cleaned and lubed on day one, and after shooting one box of ammo, and again after the second box, when it seized up...literally the day before I mailed it...
I have the Black Label Medallion (Full Size) and it's got some back and forth slop between the slide and frame. Same for you all? This is the only .22lr pistol I own and the rest are all full size 1911 brothers which are a pretty darn pretty solid. But those are also a whole different beast in itself so I cant compare.
This was a new placement gun from warranty since my initial one had some unusual slide stop notch...
