Why To Look After Your Right and Ammendments

Today should be interesting to say the least as it's open Senate debate of the proposed Bill where public petitions against and for are tabled discussed in relation to what the Government is proposing.
There will be plenty of yelling and screaming at each other and plenty of heat now certain States and Territories have weighed in and said get stuffed.
Lot of State politicians know their future and jobs are on the line and worried about next election. My State even voted completely against upholding their own "Anti Gun national party policy so that's a big call to break from the mother ship and shows how unsettled and worried things are at the moment.

I have never been much focused on politics or causes that's not my personality but suddenly when it's something that seriously effects your personal rights, your life and your interests you suddenly weigh in and take note of what is happening around you and you better do something.
I wonder if George Washington felt this way when he decided it was time to push back?

No nothing like the NRA . Some exist but are just smaller individual factions,....who don't get on, splintered and not united.
If they could get their act together as a single representing body they would be way more credible and powerful.
Unfortunately repeated efforts in past to unite have failed as they squabble for funding crumbs and handouts between themselves.
However this most recent chain of events has seen couple them try and work together and share resources but they are way too small and no match for the Government politics or Public

Well sad to report the Australian Federal Government through dirty Politics and gutter tactics finally got its way.
The Bill combined in with "Hate Speech" laws passed with a few amending changes forced by Opposition.
Yes shooting garments like vests and shell pouches were removed and no longer classified as a garment of terrorists. Ridiculous to start with.

However the outfall has been enormous,the biggest Political shake up in history for here.
There is mass division and change of the landscape on the horizon and Political establishment and system has imploded in the public's eyes .
Country got to see true colours first hand how an unchecked unaccountable administration manipulated and handled the scene especially got peoples attention as the dug into controlling free speech rights.
They may have won the day but the war has just started from what has happened last few days. Standing administration trust has been on public display and now hit rock bottom. They through demonstration of handling are on borrowed time.

For us gun owners ,ranchers and recreational shooters the next chapter is about to start as the States now have to decide if they are with or against the Feds.

This is where the real fight will be and serious squabble and division between State and Federal begins.

One thing I have realised throughout history for 100s of years guns have controlled the destiny of individuals and countries.
As much as people want that different and try to control the situation with laws, views and policy it's still true.

We got away from the true historical basis for our 2nd Amendment which is for the population to have a means to remove a tyranical government. It's not about hunting, sport shooting, or anything else. It was born of the revolution, which is why it is the first thing every tyrant goes after. Disarm the people so they cannot remove *you* as the ruler. Sadly for that freedom and right you also suffer the moron who uses firearms for criminal activities, just in the same fashion as you "tolerate" drunk driving because you have cars. No law will ever restrict someone who does not abide by the law. But having the right is basic and fundamental.

Well the massive fallout continues on again today with the Opposition Coalition parties imploding as well with a
split and going their separate ways.

Because certain Senators didn't vote the way their Parties demanded and stick to the party line some senior coalition members crossed and voted NO against the Bill instead of kissing Government ass to strike a deal and sided with the junior coalition partner with NO Dealing.
This was because of the implications to controlling free speech.
Now if that sounds confusing so is the whole of Australia confused...... Including me.
What this means is we have a piss weak marginal majority standing broken Government and now a piss weak broken Opposition who can't get them out number wise. Plus a bucket of worthless Bills and Reform actions that are watered down or not striking intentions at Anti Semitism ,Hate Speech or Hate Preaching or Terrorism.
What a mess.........
The good on all this is a common sense minority party that actually has a spine ,real leadership and Righter wing strong approach on all these issues including guns and immigration has risen from 6 percent pre Dec 25 to 26 percent and leapfrog the coalition Opposition as the new contender.
Standing left is shit scared now of this party gaining foothold as their popularity increases and swells by the day.
Best bit is they voted strong NO to all this BS up front and right off the cuff stated if they get in they will immediately rescind this bill.
So out of the ashes the "Phoenix" rose to offer hope and possibly return sanity to law abiding gun owners.
Their policy is "No Gun Buy Back" it will be a "Fly Back" of the Extremist scourge that has infiltrated and created the problem
Myself and all law abiding gun owners are praying hard.

Good news! But the Leftists are relentless.

As the political landscape is getting reshaped the Government managed to sneak in some clauses about censorship relating to firearms under "Hate Speech" legislation
They sneaky hid information about use of data carriers (internet) around firearms making a loophole where individuals can be jailed for using a carrier to obtain "information"/ download drawings, DWG files etc relating to manufacture ,modification or "specific information"

Big question ❓ what is classified as gaining specific information. Youtube, Forums, Following somebody on Facebook.
Nobody can explain not even the law makers who got this in.......

Nobody will know until it's challenged when somebody makes it in front of a court.

According to legal experts and gun groups here it's been made very "grey" deliberately so it can be used as a flexible enforcement tool as required.
They managed to get some concession against it where you can now not be charged in relation to getting information to reload ammunition.
Once pointed out that having people go around blow their head off because they were scared to download a powder data chart probably wasn't good idea.

This is how stupid things are becoming and not much can be done at present till there is election opportunity.
Now the standing Government is trying to put forward this week the term of office should be extended to 10 yrs to allow who ever is in the hot seat a better chance to run the country.
Get stuffed thats straight out of the Putin handbook.

Well the stupidity and heavy handed tactics are coming into play

Perhaps it will play out similar to the Canadian Gun Buy Back Program. Which panders to the liberal interpretation of crime prevention though methodology rather than cause. No real surprise its being driven primarily by those city and suburban dwellers in Quebec.

Out of the six states and two territories that make up Australia West Australia was the most radical until New South Wales took over couple of weeks back with its draconian version
WA was a super dirty chain of events in 2025 pre election as Government there State level plain refused to pay fair market value for any firearms. All the gun owners got ripped off with a 4 gun ownership model and flat rate buy back payments whether it was a Kreighoff or a Sears. Along with a short compliance timeframe as in the letter.

In an effort to really push their case to the leftie voters the "scumbag" Police Commissioner openly published maps modelling of areas where registered guns ownership were located and congregated.
Basically the mapping was showing the concentrations in the city v rural ownership.
Problem was it was detailed enough for the bad guys and anti gun side to work out essentially where you lived.
Basically broke every privacy law out there with zero repercussions after challenges in court.
That's the levels how far the institution is prepared to go to disarm.

However with the mapping release fiasco other lefty States now used this on as a response to the Bondi tragedy in December and latest sweep changing laws .
Ram home how there is a gun totting lunatic living on every street corner and next door.
Well the backfire on all this ...the Uniparty"s both didn't account for how impacting the figures after torching and hanging gun owners and users out to dry.
Turns out the latest Political modelling and polls last week revealed way more pissed and scorched gun owners live in pivotal marginal city seats than was ever anticipated. Parties believed negative impacts would be all country and rural where less influential and easily fended off but not so.
The backlash payback at vote time is going to be way more damaging to tight re election prospects and carry more weight than ever for those Politicians who were so arrogant.
This is even more so as the new third party right sided player who is gun favourable, is really gained speed and now a serious threat as they have surpassed leapfrogged everybody to become the unofficial opposition.
Their Female leader is now most favoured popular leader in the country.
