The hunt was good a 1904 and a 1914, probably shipped a few months before the world went to hell.
The 1904 is almost complete, no magazine cut off, second generation safety, original forearm (I love it) missing only the original buttplate (we can’t have everything).
The 1914 complete, but, a bulged barrel. I wonder if that can be fixed?
Notice the difference between the two operating handle and there is no barrel address on 1914.

Yes that can be fixed, it’s far enough down the barrel. I have had 2 fixed, barrel guys have circular clamps like what they used on choking card guns with. I know Dean Harris can do it at skeets. I’m sure your barrel guys up there can do the same. Wonderful guns!

Beautiful guns Marc. I don’t know why but I like the profile of the early charging handles

Marc: super nice find. You are a lucky man. How many you got on that bench?

4 all together. 2 of them, if they didn’t have a suicide safety, they should be for parts.

I will have to say I’m more of a fan of the cross bolt for functionality, but the front safety looks pretty damn sweet. That’s a nice bench you got there.

Absolutely, for hunting, I prefer the cross bolt. I love that bench. I made it to fit me, it is 42 inches high, I can work standing up without bending over. I made a series of 3/4" holes which give me a range of positions for my bench dogs.
