I can't figure out what scope mount i need if its a sako or mauser action I looked up the serial number on Google but im not sure if its right. Im get the serial number and post it. I want to stay with blued gloss mount
You don't say what caliber it is. I have a Belgium built .30-06 I bought it new in 1973. It is on a Mauser action and I used the Redfield Jr. Mounts. I believe their short action rifles used the Sako action. Leopold makes mounts for it. Scope mounting is not something you should do if you don't have the right tools. My rifle was a Safari Grade.
