Hey guys. Picked up an older Hi-Power. From reading and learning here I suspect it’s from 1952. Will attach some pictures of the markings I see on it as well as a closeup of marks I didn’t see until after I started looking at the pictures. [IMG]

    Hello,

It is a middle of 1953 pistol.

Your pistol was inspected by "Controller of Proof" Delcommune Adolphe, who used the mark [ *P ] from 1952-1960.
He is the only inspector to use this mark.

Your barrel was inspected/stamped during the 4th quarter of 1952.
Your frame was inspected/stamped during the 2nd quarter of 1953.

With a complete set of new springs, including the sear spring, it should be a real nice shooter.

    Cheers,

    Tim

Thanks Tim. Yeah I’m pretty good about replacing everything that could be worn out. This one probably won’t be shot for quite some time.
