My first thoughts are of Clint Eastwood's S&W Model 29 in 44 Mag Second is James Bond's 380 Walther PPK. 3rd is Death Wish movie staring Charles Bronson, .475 Widley Mag.
My favorite handgun in a movie is from Men In Black. In one scene a tow truck driver flashes a Ruger Super Redhawk that looks like it has the 9 1/2" barrel, exactly like mine. I don't think I've ever seen it in any other movie. It might be my most fun firearm to shoot. That long, heavy barrel makes recoil very manageable but doesn't do much for concealed carry.
Yep, that's the one. The recoil kicks back into my palm pretty good but the weight of that barrel prevents the muzzle from flipping up. The whole gun just rises up a bit. The feeling of that much controlled power is quite exhilarating.
Funny story of when I was younger and more ornery. A friend of mine bought a Ruger Blackhawk and was having trouble controlling it. We went out to the range to test it but little did he know I had a pocket full of 44 specials. So he fired off 6 rounds at a metal swinger at 50 yds and hit zero. I loaded it up with 44 Specials and hit 6! He was dumbfounded!
