Hi all, I joined the club to get some feedback on my Browning Gold Hunter. I generally use this for turkey hunting and absolutely love the gun! I once made the mistake of applying a camo tape to the barrel during one of my hunts. It rained that day and when I later removed the tape the original blue came off in various spots on the barrel. Needless to say I was sick I have stripped and re- blued the barrel 2 or 3 times now using a Casey blue kit, and although I apply a light coat of oil to it, I continue to get surface rust on the barrel during storage. What are the suggestions for a more durable, lasting finish and who would you recommend? So far, Im considering using Turnbull Restoration but looking for additional input or experience with this. I greatly appreciate any help. -Thanks
