Finish flaking off Beavertail

  1. Anyone else had this happen. Only minimal wear elsewhere but the finish on the Grip Safety has just started flaking off. Finish chipping2.jpg Finish chipping1.jpg

Looks like a warranty issue. Call Browning.

Mine shows wear like yours on the memory pad and where it slides against the grip frame; no flaking.
Purely cosmetic but I wish you would show the pictures to Browning so they can see how cheesy it looks.

  4. Probably, but I'm not sending it back to Browning for something like this...and they definitely aren't going to send me grip safety...though I'm perfectly capable of installing and fitting one. Just curious if anyone else had experienced anything similar. I was half way expecting accelerated finish wear when I first saw what was applied.

It's cosmetic and for what I use this pistol for...of no real concern. I can pull the part and refinish it if gets much worse.

Mine is holding up but I don’t carry it. What holster are you using?
