Similar to the other Superposed topic I started the other day, this is what I think I know about this gun: It was listed like this: Browning Model B25A1 Superposed Serial # 28XXX S74 Produced in 1974. 30" Vent rib Bbl. (this is the standard rib, about 5/16") Choked Full & Imp, Mod. Ejectors. 2 3/4" chambers. Single selective trigger. Vividly case colored receiver. Varnished walnut stocks with Browning butt plate 14 1/4" LOP. The gun weighs 7 lbs., 2 oz. I believe some of that to be inaccurate, or incomplete. The case colors and slightly enhanced engraving over the A1, makes me think the gun is an A2, possibly what FN called a "Palatinat". There's a photo on page 380 of Schwing's book that looks like this gun. Chokes are incorrect. They are closer to CYL/IMP. I'd guess they were modified post production. I forget the exact choke measurements I got, but can get them if it matters. The Single Selective trigger is mechanical, not inertia. Schwing's book says this change happened in the late 60s/early 70s, so it is normal for a 1974 gun. One of the things that I find interesting is the slimmer than normal fore-end on the gun. To me it is reminiscent of the Superlight for-end, but this gun doesn't fit any of the other Superlight criteria. Come across few of these over years others by owned bit different. Not that common . All had 32” barrels and later model forend not the thin splinter version in your image. Yes they had mechanical triggers. That’s nice looking example.
