Forgive me for not having many posts on this site. Own a number of Browning rifles and pistols, I believe all Belgium produced. I came across an auction that had a Browning pistol stock/grip that looked like the material you would see on tortoise shell eyeglass frames. I did some searching and believe these are a material called Celluloid. I don't have enough posts to show a photo. Anyone have any experience with these. They appear to go to/fit a Challenger model. Appreciate any thoughts.
Just so you know the post count has nothing to do with pictures. You will need to use a photo sharing site.
Thank you, don't have one of those...heard too many disgruntled forum members previously. Would be happy to email the photo to anyone wanting to post it if that is permitted.
Sorry for any confusion. I meant to point out that I had heard many members complain about different photo sharing services due to changes at the service and holding the members photos "hostage" unless they paid fees.
That was PhotoBucket. The fee they originally wanted was ridiculous. Later, after everyone went to Imgur, they reduced it to a reasonable amount. But it was too late. Even now, years later, I get emails asking for money. I hope they enjoy my pictures.
UPDATE Received a response from RFC member WalnutBill22 regarding what I thought was called Celluloid ( auction house said they were "celliod" ). Bill has wriiten a couple of great books on distinguished .22 rifles and he informed me that in 1974 Browning offered "Novadur" grips on the Challenger, which is what I anticipate them being. Sorry I am unable to post a photo here but will have one over on RFC when the grips arrive.
