There truly is a tool for every application. If I had that in Canada I would have to put a trigger lock on it and chain it to the bed to be legal. I think your companion looks like all the protection you need.

That's a fantastic rack. Is that plastic? I would worry metal would scar the finish. I think I'd prefer an open slip that kept the gun under my bed. Ditto. Well by law I can store my weapons however I deem safe. But I am also subject to the whims of my local firearms officer. Luckily I'm happy enough to put my gun in a safe with a trigger lock and chain. But that doesn't make the system right!
