I have an older 1989 BAR type II in 308win. The trigger group has some fore and aft (about 1/16") play when the mag floorplate is open. When its closed, the trigger group is tight. I only have another BAR II with the pinned TG and have had newer BARs so am not able to compare. I checked the buttstock plate inside the receiver and it is mounted correctly within the slot at the rear of the trigger group. My question for those who have the old style trigger group, is normal to have some play within the trigger group or is it something to worry about?
