    I now own 4 Auto 5's. :)

    2003 I bought a 12 gauge
    2006 I bought another 12 gauge
    2015 came the 20
    2015 came the 16 (stealth)

I have only hunted one time with each of the 12's. :(

    Nice collection!

My '63 A5 20 ga. has seen hundreds of days afield. Maybe not as much as my Citori Superlight, but enough as it's my late-season favorite.

I only have two... a 1950 and a 1929- both are 12g. The 1950 is sort of a special one for me, it has never had a shell put in it.

1989 Miroku version on the left, and 1962 Belgium on the right. Both guns hunt and refuse to stay in the safe!

I think my count is around 16 or 18 Auto 5's, 3 Double Autos and 4 Remington's 11's and Sportsman.

That book in the background is a terrific read on the Auto 5!

That book has cost me much more than the purchase price. I started out with a $400 shooter, bought the book, and got hooked. Looks like you have caught the same disease.

I guess one could say I was afflicted at a very early age. I watched my Dad disassemble his Double Auto many times. He cleaned the gun weather a shot was fired or not. When he bought a new Winchester and said I could use the Browning at the age of twelve I was hooked on Brownings!

I shot my first Auto 5 - actually first shotgun ever - at 14. A 1962 that had seen some action!!! My dad's best buddy was a WWII vet and he let me shoot that Auto 5 till we ran out of shells. That gun and a BL-22 were my two favorite guns of his. He also gave me my first beer, but there was nothing better than that Auto 5!! I used to go to his house to clean that gun for him just so I could hold it and grouse hunt in my mind...you could say I have a problem with A5's!!

I first came into contact with an Auto 5 when I was about 15 or 16. I guess I was 16. My father did not hunt but thankfully a cousin I became friends with in high school did and he invited me along. It was an amazing piece of equipment and I wanted one but they had gotten so expensive by the late 90's (and then discountinued) I thought I was SOL.

Later I saw one in the C&R section of Gunbroker and it was affordable. I bid on it and got it. That was 2003.

I started with a light 12 that I bought in 71 with a modified choke and vent rib then I ended up with my Brothers a 1968 vent rib poly choke when he passed away as well as a 1958 30" vent rib that I didn't know he had. I then recently bought a 1970 Sweet 16 and then finally the light 20.
I just now need to find the time to get back out enjoying them, I've been side tracked with a Sig Sauer problem lately
