From what I have read on a couple of web sites, date of manufacture by serial number is 1931, but the receiver is marked SWEET 16...…. and has the John Browning bust on the receiver. Pachymayr rubber buttstock pad. Marked Browning Arms Company St Louis Missouri

Cannot quite figure out what I have, serial number date says 1931 but the Sweet 16 didn't come about until later in the 1930's

RKI's and other experts, you are invited to weigh in and tell me what this is? PM or my email ron.burgy@coloradoclass3.com

    TIA

You didn’t pay attention to the serial number prefix, either S, X, or possibly A.
Just looking at your gun I see it was made sometime between 1951-58.

Oops!!! Never looked at the serial number that closely, having cataract surgery later this year, just read the digits.
    Now I know, thanks...…..

Anything special about this gun, anything else I should be looking for?

    Thanks for Rudolph31

$600-$800. Gunbroker will probably get the best price. How is it choked?
