Has anyone tried the steel parts from this site? https://www.zrtacticalsolutions.com/product-category/products/zrts-firearm-parts/browning/ If you have, are there any pros and cons to switching over to the steel parts vs. the plastic parts that the 380 came with? Is the Guide Rod Buffer worth using? Thanks!
I ordered the Browning 1911 Full Length Guide Rod Black today. We'll see how it goes and I'll update everyone.
I added the full length steel guide rod to one of my full-size 1911-380s. Shot it today and compared it to my other full-size 1911-380 with the factory plastic guide rod. I really couldn't tell much, if any, difference between the two. Felt recoil may have been a little better...maybe. Maybe the steel rod will last longer than the factory plastic rod. I've uploaded some pictures. Each gun was unloaded and the magazine was not inserted for the pictures.
