Gunsmith gouged my receiver while mounting my scope..

How do I proceed, is this something Browning can fix, I'm not sure how to handle this.

  1. Have them replace the rifle?

  2. Have them attempt to fix it?

I need help on how to proceed. I bought a Browning Mark 3, I picked out the 5-24x50 Viper PST Gen2. I took it to a local shop to get it mounted, And they gouged the receiver with what looks like a screwdriver. I have never even fired this rifle. I am a hunter, but also a collector, I use my guns, clean my guns, and value them as the heirlooms they are. I am very upset. They did not mention it to me when I picked it up, and there was an obvious attempt to buff it out, which tells me they were aware and chose not to mention it. How do I deal with this?
