I have a CXT that's about 3 years old. Gun shoots very well for me and I average mid 20's with it. I have about 3000 rounds through it and keep it in very good condition. I thoroughly clean and lubricate it about every 200-300 rounds. I usually shoot bottom barrel. I am having a problem with the gun opening to eject the empty shell. I will move the lever to open the gun and it gets stuck half way as I try to open the action. I will close the gun and try to open it again and the same happens. Close, try to open again and it will open slightly but not fully. This happens intermittently. I am shooting standard target rounds, nothing out of the ordinary. I am a trained AR armorer and pistol armorer so I have a lot of experience working on firearms but this is out of my comfort zone. Anyone have any insight on this problem and how to solve it
did you switch ammo and see if it's doing it. Do you have pierced primers. Need pictures but would guess your firing pins are damaged. This is common thing.
Hank, I have a newer CX and its a very tight fit. Althouh I clean it after every shoot, its still takes a couple attempts to assemble the barrel to the receiver.
