Browning offered 1886 & 1892 rifles in the late 80s and early 90s. I'm not sure of the actual dates. The 1886 Saddle Ring Carbine had a rear sight different from the rifle. It was a flip-up. I'm thinking that I have seen a Winchester with the same sight. Does anybody know of a source for the sights? I read on another forum or in an article that these sights had an odd sized dove-tail and would not fit in the standard slot that a blade adjustable rear sight came out of.
After making this post I found basically the same sight made by Smith Ent. Midway, Brownells and a few more sell them.
