    Hi folks..

I was out looking at some A-5s when I ran across this.. So I took a picture

It looked super clean and was told it was a 45-70

If I took my notes right it has two lines for the serial

024XX Yes, I blanked out the last two
    then
NY6CT .. or the last letter could be a Y.. cant read my own writing.. HA

    thanks for any info

    LOL
    It is NOT a BLR.
You have a very nice Browning Model 86
BLR has a box magazine, not tube, the BLR trigger moves with the lever.
Is the barrel stamped Browning? I know they made several reproductions of Winchesters that were designed by Browning.
You can also go to Brownings website and chase the serial number
