Wanted to post something that has been a game changer for me to clean barrels, remove ejectors or just an extra hand to hold things while working. I have tried pretty much all the different devices and each has it pro’s and cons. Nothing really worked for what I needed. So decided to make one. Cheap articulating vise from harbor freight. Piece of pine from the shed and some rubber for the jaws. I cut one of my cleaning rods and attached to a drill. Takes about 2 sec to clean a barrel. I cleaned a barrel to what I thought was clean, then put it in the vise and used the drill, then some cleaning patches on the drill. Wow I could not believe how dirty the patches came out. It’s so much easier and faster and obviously better.
