Happy New Year friends, New member reaching out to the more experienced enthusiasts. It appears an updated Browning 1911-380 model is now available. 1) slickguns.com is presenting a Browning 1911-380 Pro with G10 grips and 3-dot sights https://www.slickguns.com/product/browning-1911-380-pro-380-acp-g10-grips-and-3-dot-sights-67995 2) The link in there takes you to Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore http://www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperst...-firearms-1911-380-pro-380-acp-with-g10-grips 3) The UPC Number is different: 023614043096 vs. 02361404451 4) The MFG Model Number is different: 051900492 vs 051904492 5) The Browning site does not show a new 1911-380 model. Understanding the Browning site has not done a press release since June 26, 2015. I'm excited. Wanted a 1911-380 but black combat sights are a non-option for my aging peepers. I could swap out the 3-dots for something more easily seen.
New 1911-380 models are now official, listed as fixed combat sights on all models. Four new Browning [PRO] 1911-380 models have appeared on the Browning web site. http://www.browning.com/products/firearms/pistols/1911-380.html All four new models have a fancy grip. Fixed combat sights, with choice of white dot or night sight dot/bar. A rail is also now available. $130-$240 more expensive depending on options; $909.99 with all the bells and whistles.
I have to admit the new models excite me as well. Night sights are a must for me. The added expense on top of an already expensive .380 doesn't. That said, I think they are shipping with two mags now as well. That's a good thing. It's great to see that Browning is seemingly committing to this pistol with the new models. I'll be getting one.

Watching for signs of a new Browning 1911-380 model. It is that time of year. In early 2016 I bought a 1911-380 Black Label Pro with rail, and I shot it hard all year long. I could see the white dots, the grip was perfect for my smaller hands, and I shot it better than anything else. I bought other guns this year, but the 1911-380 was and is my favorite (a new Kimber Aegis is now mounting a challenge). If you hear a rumor, see a posting, or sniff something in the wind - please share it here.
A snazzy new 1911-380Browning is out. It is called the Black Label Medallion Pro, and it's sharp. There is also a compact version. Composite frame with steel subframe and slide rails, machined steel slide, target crown, fixed combat sights (or night sights), eight round magazine, extended ambidextrous manual safety, skeletonized hammer, and comes in an ABS case. Listing at $800 or $880 with night sights. http://www.browning.com/products/fi...ction/black-label-1911-380-medallion-pro.html
