hi guys. I'm new to this site. Here's my question, I have two A-Bolt II Stalkers that I've done some custom work to. One in 30-06 the other in 270 Win. I'm having trouble getting a spare clip for the 270' but I have two for the 30-06. The rounds are so close, can I get away with using the 30-06 clip for the 270 without any problems? Browning technical support won't give me a definite answer on this.
Browning 'technical support' probably isn't sure. ;-) . Swap the mags on your two rifles and see whether they're functionally identical, as they should be.
I myself would not use a .30-06 mag in a .270... As for the spare magazine...have you tried Numrich Gun Parts !? http://www.gunpartscorp.com/Manufacturers.htm
as a follow up this works just fine between 30-06 and 270 win. I subsequently bought a 270 win magazine at Gander after I tried this.
The 270 Win is a 30-06 necked down to accept a 27 cal bullet. The same mag is also used for the 280 Rem. The CSR you spoke to obviously lacks knowledge. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
