I got it to hit the X ring at 50 YDS so I moved out to 100 yards per instuctions I got here on the forum.
with the factory sights adjusted ALL the way down ( to the point I was afraid the screw would fallout)
it is right on windage wise but shooting 12" higher than point of aim.
I'm holding the top of the front sight even with the top of the rear sight.
I've been shooting open sights for 60 years including 2 tours in Vietnam with an M-14 and M-1 and have never had a situation like this before.
Ammo is Australian Outback 308, 165gr Sierra SBT GameKing with published muzzle velocity of 2840 ft/s.
the groups were beautiful (about 1.5-2.0") just 12" higher than my point of aim.
Does anyone have any suggestions??? I really don't want to scope this rifle if I can avoid it.
