If this is already covered I apologize, but I did a search and didn’t find it covered anywhere I’m a new BLR Takedown (308)owner and I want to clean the rifle before I head to the range. My question is how do I clean the action if I’m not supposed to disassemble it. The barrel is easy and I can get to the chamber when the barrel is removed. But whole ejector and trigger is a mystery. Is it ok to spray it down with Balistol and blow it out with air? Just wondering what others are doing Thanks
I called Browning. They said to clean the externals of the lever action only and NOT to spray cleaner and NOT to use compressed air there. Also the gun was designed and tested using Remington and Winchester 150 and 180 grain bullets. Good place to start when testing different loads.
