Hi guys i have a browning shot gun which i would like to identify firstly and would like toknow whether it is practical to rebarrel .I bought this off Frank Parker some years ago and believe it was used extensively to shoot live birds around Australia and abroad .The no. on it is 40079 The gun still works ok however a little difficult to shoot being a left handed stock so would also like to change this to right handed and as i said rebarrel as there is a lot of pitting I feel this Browning is a gun of significance as Frank won a lot of comps with it and money to boot .Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you

Hello Peter, and welcome to the site!

Your I think your gun is a High Grade 1954 Superposed. If so, you might want to send it to Art’s for restoration. Also, repost in the Superposed Forum on this site. And please add more pictures!
