Put a new Leupold on it and want to keep this setup reasonably safe from damage . Will mostly use the case to go to and from range. Any suggestions for hard or soft cases?
Here are two I use almost exclusively... http://www.planomolding.com/ http://www.thepelicanstore.com/gun-cases-7.aspx
It's small, so a cheap, foam lined Flambeau plastic case will get you to the range and back. About $11 at Walmart. then look for a Zerust card for the dase.
I recently purchased the Browning plainsman short case. Pretty sure it’s 40”. It fits my unscoped BL22 with plenty of extra room available for a scope. It also fits my daughters savage axis compact rifle. It would work perfect for a scoped BL22 as a range case. I would want something with more padding/protection for travelling though.
